Milan - Competition to the 2011 MotoGP champion throne believed would be more fierce. Yamaha and Honda rider is able to show off at any time, not to mention there is Valentino Rossi from Ducati.
The assessments were raised by one of the Repsol Honda team rider, Andrea Dovizioso. He said there will be more than five drivers who are quite capable of pursuing a degree.
"Level of Honda and Yamaha are very competitive and there are six drivers who use the two brands and have a chance to win the race and also the championship," he said in MCN.
The amount is also not including Rossi, a veteran racer who is now defending the Ducati. MotoGP world champion six times it was believed Dovizioso will again be a strong competitor.
"We also must take into account Valentino, because all know how tough he is,"said Dovizioso.
Thus, the Italian rider was sure that if the races next season will bring the heat of competition is more fierce than previous seasons. The picture was even been seen in pre-season test session.
"I think this season will be much faster and tighter than the last few seasons."
"I've never pre-season tests as quickly as we live in first and second sessions, in which the drivers often sharpens his time. This means that all want to be in front and it's very motivating," he explained.

Rossi: “The Ducati is a proper prototype”
Valentino Rossi spoke for the first time as a Ducati rider at the Wrooom 2011 event at Madonna di Campiglio on Tuesday, satisfying the demands of both media and fans as he discussed the Desmosedici.
Sporting Ducati’s red colours Rossi also talked to motogp.com, and started by joking: “I feel quite strange speaking in red! We were always big enemies with Ducati, so I need
time to feel normal in this shirt!”
In an earlier press conference Rossi described the Ducati as “a proper prototype”, with a “different concept from the Japanese factories”, and a similarly pressing subject was that of his recovering shoulder.
“The problem was that the surgery was a lot heavier than expected because the damage was very big. The doctor said it wouldn’t be a problem to recover 100%, but that I’d need more time. From that moment I have worked hard. I expect to be fitter, but we have to put in 100% to be at the minimum level to ride for Sepang test,” explained Rossi to motogp.com in the attached video interview.
Following his first Test on the Desmosedici in Valencia last November, Rossi had surgery on his shoulder and said: “The big problem in Valencia was me. I had a lot of pain in the shoulder and not enough power. This is a different bike and you have to ride it more aggressively. This is my work at Ducati, to improve it and make it an easier bike and have fewer risks in all the races. Stoner was unbelievable in some races last year but made some mistakes too and ended the Championship in fourth. So far we have been working on easier things such as rider position, handlebars, foot pegs for Sepang, and there we will start to work on improving the bike.”
The all-Italian partnership between the nine-times World Champion and the Borgo Panigale factory is one which has added to the excitement, and Rossi is well aware of the expectations.
“I will definitely have extra pressure with Ducati compared to the past, because a lot of fans around the world are curious about my performance with Ducati. We have to manage this and it will be very hard work – maybe we won’t be ready to win in the first races so I hope the fans will give us enough time.”
The 2011 campaign, in which Rossi said he sees Jorge Lorenzo and Casey Stoner as “favourites” for the title, will also reunite him with former team-mate Nicky Hayden, something the 31 year-old is looking forward to. “I have always had a good relationship with Nicky since 2003 when we were team-mates with Honda,” he said. “I’m very happy to work with him. He’s a great guy and has experience on the Desmosedici, so maybe he will help us in the beginning. It will be completely open with no wall in the box.”
And finally, when asked when he expects to be in full flight on the GP11, Rossi added: “I hope when the summer starts.”

Hayden: “Motivation is high”
Nicky Hayden’s enthusiasm for start of the 2011 season was in full evidence at the Wrooom event at Madonna di Campiglio on Tuesday, where the American was present along with team-mate Valentino Rossi to discuss his approach to the new MotoGP campaign.
The Ducati rider, who had minor surgery on his wrist at the conclusion of the 2010 season, explained to motogp.com that he had enjoyed a good off-season: “I did some
good training, now I’m ready and February 1st will be when the real action starts at the Sepang Test. I’m really looking forward to the season.”
Encouraged by the progress he made on the Desmosedici throughout his second season with Ducati, Hayden continued: “We made a big step from year one to last year on the Ducati, and the target is to do that again in 2011. They’re working hard at the factory and a lot has changed with a new team-mate coming in. Motivation is high. There won’t be any radical changes with the bike but we certainly want to sweeten it up in some places.”
The arrival of Valentino Rossi completes a line-up which both riders stated their excitement at, and Hayden is looking forward to working alongside the Italian once again having partnered him at Honda in 2003.
“It shouldn’t change our approach on my side. It’s true the whole Rossi-mania thing will be different, but we’ve been team-mates before and know how it works. It won’t be a negative, I’ll be looking on the positive side,” said Hayden. “He brings a lot of experience and knowledge with his people, and it seems some of the things we’re requesting are along the same lines, which is good for all of us. We have always got along well.”
“The mentality of Ducati is a team one, it really is a family throughout. I think that’s an advantage. We have a lot of work to do so we don’t need to be working against each other.”
Asked for a final thought on the 2011 campaign, Hayden stated: “I’m not one to make big predictions because it’s all talk until you get on the bike, but I know I have a really good team and bike, so we’re not planning to run around mid pack!”
