You can think what you like.

While I was ill, it gave me an opportunity to think about people who are suffering from terrible illnesses. I just had a bad flu & some back problem, owing to my work. Even runny nose is unbearable at that time but when we think about people who are being infected with HIV/AIDS, hepatitis & various other diseases, I just wonder how do they put up with it. First if you’re diagnosed with an incurable disease, at some point sooner or later, you’re bound to get depressed & real depression is bad news. And even if the disease is curable, pain is never easy on anyone.

Anyhow, I thought about the character of Ethan in Guzaarish. This guy couldn’t move for 14 years. This kind of life is nothing but hell on earth. However, it’s commendable that some patients have so much courage & faith that they go on living with dignity.

I’m related to someone who is not in a very stable state & I was actually shocked to see the inhuman reaction of others. People never miss any opportunity of jeering at those who are suffering. And if this particular person commits suicide, they would be the 1st one to shed meaningless tears, but what’s the point? A person needs you when he/she is alive. Once someone is dead, it’s over. And it doesn’t matter how life ends. People may judge suicidal folks & that’s the best they can do. It would be so much nice, if they start judging themselves or better still try to understand their own evil & selfish nature.

Other than that, there is so much to think about. You don’t have to ponder on serious stuff. And believe it or not there are millions of cute, naughty things around us that we fail to notice. Anyway, as of now I intend to paint the town red!
