Can Ajay and Emraan recreate their magic?

Their chemistry was the talk of the town when they were seen together for the first time in Once upon a time in Mumbaai. And now they are back together, just this time not for a nail biting thriller but to tickle your bones. We are talking about actors Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi. The two actors had a great working chemistry in OUATIM, which reflected on-screen and was complimented for by many. They will soon be seen together in Madhur Bhandarkar's next movie, Dil Tou Baccha hai ji which is exactly contrast to OUATIM.

DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI is a romantic comedy in which Ajay plays the roles of Naren Ahuja, who is a 38-year-old guy going through a divorce and looking for love in his life. Emraan on the other hand, is playing the role of Abhay, a 30 years-old Casanova who believes in money and sex till he falls in love with Nikki played by Shruti Hassan.

Emraan, in the past, has confessed about learning a lot on the sets of OUATIM from Ajay. And he continued to do the same in this movie. But that is just behind the scenes. Emraan is the bully in the movie who keeps taunting and teaching Ajay about love's fundas. With DTBHJ Madhur Bhandarkar, for the first time explores the genre of romantic comedy within realistic parameters. It is a slice of life film about three men and their encounters with love.

'It is always good to work with an actor like Ajay. He is brilliant at what he does. He has done a number of romantic comedies and this is my first time. But Ajay makes things easy for the co-stars to work along with him. He doesn't throw his weight around and does not talk like one of the seniors of the industry. We had a lot of fun shooting for DTBHJ and though I listen to him behind the scenes most of the time, I was the one telling him things on the screen,' says Emraan with a smile.

Whereas Emraan was seen looking up to Ajay as his role model in OUATIM, in Madhur's DTBHJ, it is vice versa and Ajay will take love tips from Emraan this time around.

So while they both have female co-stars to support their love stories, the bro-code that Ajay and Emraan share is bound to make for a good on-screen chemistry.

Who Was Hot & Who Was Not in 2010?

Aamir Khan: He didn't do a lot of acting this year. His work as a producer was significant though with Peepli Live, which was about farmers and their life but in a comical way. He later worked in his wife's directorial debut Dhobi Ghat. His fans didn't see much of him otherwise.

Shahrukh Khan: 2010 was a quiet year for him too with only one hit My Name Is Khan. It did give him more recognition abroad as well. More or less, he was busy working for his 2011 release Ra One and for the other half, he was apologizing and making up with old friends...but he still remains cold towards Salman Khan and Farah Khan. Next year, he will be seen on small screen in the Hindi version of Wipe Out.

Salman Khan: His start in 2010 was bad with Veer but he certainly turned out to be the winner in 2010 with his brother Arbaaz Khan's film Dabangg, in which Salman rocked the role of Chulbul Pandey. Dabangg earned massively and broke the opening box office records of even 3 Idiots in the first week. He gained more fame with his hosting performance in Bigg Boss Season 4 and his social work with the launch of Being Human Watches.

Saif Ali Khan: In 2010, he performed zilch but all that was talked about him was his relationship with Kareena Kapoor.None of his films were released at the box office. He was seen doing commercials mostly this year.

Ajay Devgan: 2010 was definitely his year. All his films and his performance in them were appreciated greatly. Rajneeti, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, Golmaal 3, Athithi Tum Kab Jaogi did well. Aakrosh didn't do well at the box office but his performance was critically liked. His last release, Toonpur Ka Superhero is liked by kids and parents. Ajay is a man of few words but his performances are mostly unforgettable and impressive.

Akshay Kumar: It was a happy year for him more or less. His movie Housefull did well at the beginning of the year. He hosted Master Chef on TV, which was a bit boring a show but he looked amazing in it as well. His movie Action Replayy bombed completely although he looked absolutely rocking in the 70's avatar. But Tees Maar Khan, which has just released and the opening results are good so far so Akshay should be satisfied.

Amitabh Bachchan: He did great on small screen when he hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati once again. KBC was the most liked show on TV and gained the highest TRPs. The show was a success completely. His movies Raan and Teen Patti didn't do well at the box office. But, it doesn't matter. He is still Big B and the best entertainer in the last 50 years. He goes stronger than even the younger actors. A good or bad year doesn't matter when it comes to Big B.

Anil Kapoor: He doesn't give up and does something new when we feel his times up. His film No Problem didn't do well but the fact that he is working with Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 4 was his biggest achievement this year. At this age it is fairly decent for him. He, however, says working in Hollywood is just a baby step for him but his heart truly belongs to Hindi commercial cinema and that even in Hollywood he would still act the way he has always acted rather than be some pseudo intellectual, which he is not.

Shahid Kapoor: 2010 was not really a great year with most of his movies not doing well with the exception of Badmaash Company. His love affair with Priyanka Chopra got people talking though. Over all, not an impressive year for him.

Ranbir Kapoor: He was still the heart throb this year. He changed his image by doing mature roles in Rajneeti and Anjana Anjani. Both his performances were appreciated by the audience. So he has a lot more ahead of him and people expect him to do better in the years ahead. He is loved for his expressions and genuine dialogue delivery that set him apart from many other actors of his time.

Imran Khan: His films I Hate Luv Storys and Break Ke Baad gained moderate results. Last year he failed as an action hero in Luck and Kidnap so he did chocolate hero sort of roles again in 2010. He has to work some more and needs better luck. However, he is genuinely liked by the young actresses of B-town now including Kareena, Deepika and Sonam Kapoor who feel that he is one of the most decent guys in the industry who has lots of tehzeeb and is a true gentleman.

Emraan Hashmi: He gave one good hit in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. The audience loved his acting and were impressed by his performance. He is all set to work in Murder 2 now in which he will romance Jacquiline Fernandez. Emraan has proved he is more than just a serial kisser.

Arjun Rampal: A good year for him because audience loved his performance and consider him a mature actor now after seeing him in Rajneeti, Housefull and We Are Family. He personally grew as an actor.

Sanjay Dutt: The year was bad for him with all his films, Knock Out, No Problem and Lamha failing at the box office. Personally he did well as he and wife gave birth to twins recently and his sisters and he patched up once again at the birth of his children.

Abhishek Bachchan: Definitely a bad year for him. His two movies Raavan and Khelen Hum Jee Jaan Se bombed at the box office completely.

Hrithik Roshan: 2010 was a bad year as his two films Kites and Guzaarish failed at the box office. His performance in Guzaarish though was critically praised and recognized.

John Abraham: It was a bad year for him as his film Jhoota He Sahi failed miserably at the box office. Though I completely blame the heroine of that movie on the flop status because John acted well as far as his role was concerned but the leading lady proved to be quite fatal for the entire movie.

Ranveer Singh: He made his debut in 2010 with Band Baaja Baraat. His film was a hit and people liked him and his performance quite a bit. An Indian daily paper also said that Ranveer was the most wanted guy at the moment and very popular amongst girls. It was a good start for him but he has to prove more ahead. He denies any link up with Anushka Sharma although media keeps talking about their link up time and again.

Dil Tou Bacha Hai Ji Stills

Dil Tou Bacha Hai Ji is going to be a light comedy that we might like. The fact that Ajay Devgan is part of this movie raises the standards.

These are a few stills from the fun movie. Emraan Hashmi looks cute...check out the colorful lowers he is wearing. Emraan and Shruti Hasan look sweet together.

Katrina most profitable actress of 2010

Ajay Devgn and Katrina Kaif will be crowned the most profitable actors of 2010 at the 'ETC Bollywood Business Awards 2010 - Evaluating Movie Moghuls' today (December 28). First timer Abhinav Kashyap will get the most profitable director trophy.

"Figures talk, you cannot manipulate it, you cannot play games with it," said Ajay, who has had six releases this year including 'Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?' 'Raajneeti', 'Golmaal 3', and 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai' and except 'Aakrosh' and 'Toonpur Ka Superhero', all his movies did good business.

The research done by ETC indicated that Indian audiences paid a cumulative sum of Rs.282 crore to watch Ajay's films throughout the year vis-a-vis Rs.142 crore to watch Katrina's 'Raajneeti' and 'Tees Maar Khan'.

Breaking all records is Salman Khan’s 'Dabangg' that has been named as the top grosser of the year. Debut director Abhinav Kashyap bagged the most profitable director trophy for the corrupt cop saga with audiences paying a cumulative sum of over Rs.140 crore to watch his film.

"It is a fair assessment of the recipient's work and his popularity and mass appeal," said Arbaaz Khan, winner of the most successful producer for 'Dabangg'.

Dil Tou Bacha Hai Ji Music Launch At Cinemax

Toonpur Ka Superhero Impresses Audience

The Christmas release that will surely be loved up by kids and youth who love live animation films is Toonpur Ka Super Hero. Produced under the banner of Big Screen Entertainment headed by producer Kumar Mangat, the film is receiving good reports from whoever has seen it, especially kids who seemed to be enjoying every bit of it.

The film is certainly a brave attempt by producer Kumar Mangat who has shown much courage (especially during this year) touching upon different and not very safe subjects. Atithi Tum Kab Jaaoge? (Produced by his daughter Amita Pathak) was a touching, socially relevant comedy, which managed to touch many a heart and saw Ajay Devgn in a never before role of a submissive nephew harassed by his so called uncle.

While Mangat's Priyadarshan directed Aakrosh was a hard hitting film on honour killing may not have set the box-office on fire but was critically acclaimed and sent out a strong message.

And with Toonpur, he amazed the audience yet again by providing fun and exciting entertainment to kids and parents at the same time and proving that Ajay Devgan and wife Kajol can still drive a lot of attention.
